Getting there
- Bath is 106 miles from London and 12 miles from Bristol.
- By bus: National Express buses to London (economy return £21, 3½ hours, 10 daily) via Heathrow, and daily to Bournemouth (£16, 2¾ hours), Manchester (£31, 6¼ hours) and Oxford (£14, two hours). Buses #X39, 339, and 332 run to Bristol (single £3.10, return £3.90, 50 minutes) several times an hour.
- By train: Trains to London Paddington (saver return £39.50, 1½ hours, half-hourly), several each hour to Bristol (single £4.60, 20 minutes). Occasional direct trains to Exeter St. David’s (saver return £23, 1½ hours), Cardiff (£16.10, 1¼ hours, half-hourly) and Oxford (£22.50, 1¼ hours).
